10 pm – bed. Wait, no. I got distracted by YouTube videos.
10:30 pm – okay, now I’m finally going to sleep. I shut down my computer
10:31pm – I remember there was something I forgot to look up, so I look it up on my phone
because I don’t want to turn on the computer that I just shut down and because I don’t want to
forget.

Saturday

7:30am – Morning prayer with the friars
8 am – break, I usually do a 5-minute workout
8:30 – Mass
9am – 11:30 pm – Role: Coordinator. I ensure everything is set for the meal, that the volunteers
have stuff to do, and other tasks. If big groups of volunteers are in, I will often show them how
to put away miscellaneous donations of food, diapers/baby products, and toiletries. (One time, I
found a whole stack of Jello that expired in 2011 in the donation pile *Facepalm*)
11:30-1:30 – the meal is served. As coordinator, I make sure everything is running smoothly.
1:30 – free for the rest of the day.
Sunday
7am – wake up and breakfast
7:30am – Morning prayer with the friars
8 am – break (oh right, I still need to put away the dishes from last night and this morning)
8:30 – Mass in the chapel. On Sundays, one of the lay staff brings out their keyboard and plays
music and we use the hymnals. So it’s not like the daily masses during the week.
9am – Off day. It’s a perfect time to walk to a local park and read, make more progress on ‘The
Bible in a Year’ podcast, go to the chapel for some quiet prayer time, and eat some leftovers.
What else I’d do is really up in the air.
