Edgar Alberto, Philadelphia 2018-2019
Edgar is originally from El Salvador but has lived in California and North Carolina over the past few years. He spent his FVM year serving in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In three words, Edgar described his community as, “family, unique, necessary,” which spell out ‘FUN!’
Silver Spring FVMs 2016-2017
Our 2016-2017 FVMs reflected on the question, “How has your faith grown since the beginning of the year?” Our FVMs grow in their faith throughout their volunteer years in various ways. Expressed prayer is one of our three core values. Volunteers have the opportunity to pray personally and communally each week.

Troy is a 2015 graduate from St. Bonaventure University. Troy served as a volunteer in our Camden, NJ community.

Philadelphia Franciscan Friar Site Supervisor
Fr. Michael has been a part of Franciscan Volunteer Ministry from its beginning. He has served as the Philadelphia Franciscan Friar Site Supervisor since 1989. Each of our FVM sites has a Franciscan Friar Site Supervisor who journeys together with the volunteers throughout their year.
